This resource provides students with data on the global footprint of each country across the globe. The data is updated every year. Some of the data provided includes a country’s ecological footprint per person, total biocapacity, ecological deficit and reserve.
Organization: Global Footprint Network
Global Footprint Network is an international nonprofit organization founded in 2003 that advances the science of sustainability to change how the world manages its natural resources. They create metrics that are meaningful and scalable, actionable insights about natural resource consumption and capacity, and tools to guide informed decisions (Source).
Ecological Footprint Initiative at York University are scholars, students, researchers, and collaborating organizations working together to advance the measurement of Ecological Footprint and Biocapacity and the application of these measures around the world.
FoDaFo (Footprint Data Foundation) provides robust and transparent ecological accounts that estimate the amount of biocapacity that countries demand, and the amount of biocapacity available.
