Food waste recycling – creating a circular economy

GENeco partnered up with Bath and North East Somerset Council to create a video to explain the food waste recycling process and what they do with it once it has been collected. Food waste gets turned into biogas that can then be used to make electricity and heat to power local homes – extracting maximum value for a greener, more sustainable living (Source).

GENeco’s services range from food and liquid waste treatment and recycling to the composting of difficult to treat biodegradable material. Their treatment processes produce renewable energy and nutrient rich biofertilisers which offer a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to inorganic fertilisers made from chemicals (Source).
